MSF has been my latest addiction. Each week I seem to drag another friend to the Lung Shan at 18th and Mission and introduce them to Mission-style culinary bliss.
So when they annouced they’d be open on Saturdays I was excited but knew that it would inevitably mean two trips a week.

Thursday night I sampled the Bolinas Goat stroganoff with braised fennel, juniper and crispy chevre dumplings. The goat was delicious but the stroganoff noodles left something to be desired. All in all, Thursday was underwhelming.
The Valentine’s Day edition of MSF fared a bit better, with crispy goat tacos and the very apropos grilled Prather ranch beef heart over warm phipps bean salad courtesy of The Slow Club/Serpentine’s Chris Kronner.
Definitely not for the weak stomached vegans.
